Jared N. Hawkins is a native of Burns, Oregon. He received his law degree in 2004 from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating with honors. Shortly after passing the bar in Washington he entered the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate (JAG). As a military attorney he had a diverse practice of law in advising military commanders, service members, and their families on a variety of matters including administrative law, employment law, contracts, environmental law, real property law, landlord/tenant disputes, wills, and criminal justice. Over the course of 6 1/2 years he gained significant litigation experience serving in roles as both a prosecutor/government representative and a defense counsel in administrative proceedings and misdemeanor and felony level courts-martial.
Jared joined Virtual In-House Counsel in September 2011 (the name of the firm at that time) and is admitted to practice law in Washington. Since joining the firm, Jared’s practice has included issues related to employment law, unemployment compensation, municipal law, landlord-tenant disputes, contract litigation, general civil litigation, property law, estate planning, debt collection, small claims court, and a myriad of other matters.
Jared is a member of the local (Noon) Rotary Club and currently volunteers for a local Boy Scout troop and as a pro bono attorney for the Blue Mountain Action Council Volunteer Attorney program.

Aimee Parmley earned her bachelor’s degree at Biola University, a Master in Education at UCLA, was a visiting student at the University of Minnesota Law School, and completed her Juris Doctorate at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, graduating with honors in 2010. Prior to law school, Aimee taught middle school English in Los Angeles.
After law school, Aimee was a business litigation and transactional associate at DLA Piper LLP (US), an AmLaw 100 international law firm. At DLA Piper, Aimee defended companies in business tort, product liability, environmental, unfair competition class actions, trademark infringement and privacy matters. Her business transactional experience includes advising and assisting companies with business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Aimee is committed to serving the community and received the State Bar of California Wiley Manuel Award for pro bono legal services in 2012.
Aimee moved to Walla Walla in 2013, and joined Hawkins Law in May 2016. She is admitted to practice in Washington, California, and Minnesota. She speaks conversational Spanish and Tagalog.
Aimee is a member of the Moms’ Network of Walla Walla and volunteers as a pro bono attorney for the Blue Mountain Action Council Volunteer Attorney Program. When not working, Aimee enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Kjirsten began working in the legal field in 2002 as an Office Assistant. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration (concentration in Marketing) and put her skills to use as a Planning Assistant for a private wealth management firm. In 2012, she seized the opportunity to move back to her hometown of Walla Walla and assume the role of Office Manager/Legal Assistant at Virtual In-House Counsel, which has since become Hawkins Law.
Kjirsten is the first voice you’ll hear when you contact Hawkins Law. She will efficiently assist you with your administrative needs. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys traveling, attending community events, and spending time with family and friends.
Virtual In-House Counsel, PLLC was formed in 2001 under the ownership of Kristian E. Hedine. Mr. Hedine was elected in 2014 as the Walla Walla County District Court full-time judge and has since commenced his service as a judge. Mr. Hedine is no longer associated with the firm.
In November 2014, Virtual In-House Counsel was purchased by the associate of the firm, Jared N. Hawkins. The firm's name has now been changed to Hawkins Law, PLLC, and Jared serves as the firm’s managing attorney.
